The Human Rights Forum (HRF) appeals to the CPI (Maoist) to immediately release five Adivasi activists who they have abducted from the Kattulapeta area in Bandhugaon block of Koraput district in Orissa.
According to information, four of the five Adivasis were abducted by the Maoists on September 18 and the fifth was kidnapped on Thursday. The five are either members of or supporters of the Bandhugaon-based Chasi Mulia Adivasi Sangam (CMAS).
We urge the Maoists not to harm the five Adivasis in any manner and to release them forthwith.
