It has been informed to our organization, the Human Rights Forum (HRF), that a person by name Nayini Komuraiah of the CPI-ML – New Democracy party was arrested by the Khammam Police on 17th of this month.
He is being held in illegal custody for the past week and is yet to be produced before a magistrate.
We urge you to look into the matter and issue instructions to the police to either release Mr Komuraiah or to produce him in a Court of law.
We do hope you would see to it that your officers would adhere to the rule book and safeguard the human rights of citizens.
